Trustees
The Fund has twelve Trustees, six of whom are elected by the members and six of whom are appointed by the City of Cape Town.
The member elected Trustees serve for a period of 3 years. The current member Trustees will hold office until December 2019 at which time an election will be held.
There are currently four member elected trustees from the defined contribution section and two member elected trustees from the defined benefit section. This structure reflects proportional representation of the two sections.
Alderman BRW Watkyns is the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and Ms Millicent Collins is the Deputy Chairperson.

Sub-committees
The Fund currently has two standing committees:
- Investments, Audit and Finance Committee
- Rules, Benefits and Administration Committee
The committees only have the authority to make recommendations to the full Board of Trustees. In certain circumstances the Board may delegate decision-making authority to the relevant Committee.
Investments, Audit and Finance Committee
The Investment, Audit and Finance (IAF) Committee meets once a month to consider matters relating to the investments and financial matters. It also serves as the Audit Committee in receiving the annual statements of the Fund.

Rules, Benefits and Administration Committee
The Rules, Benefits and Administration Committee also meet once a month to consider matters relating mainly to the benefits and administration of the Fund.
