Job Description – Client Liaison Officer

Minimum Requirements and skills:

  • Fluent in English
  • IsiXhosa verbal and written skills an advantage
  • Minimum Matric or equivalent NQF level 4 qualifications
  • Sound knowledge of the retirement fund landscape
  • At least 2 years Retirement Fund industry or Employee Benefits working experience
  • Computer literacy
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Team orientated

Role requirements:

  • Communication with members, benefit administrators and Employer, and performing all administrative processes, relating to:
    • Disposal of death benefits in terms of Section 37C of the Pension Funds Act and the Rules of the Fund
    • Withdrawals (resignations, dismissals, and retrenchments)
    • Retirements
    • Disabilities
    • Funeral claims
    • Housing Loans (In Fund)
    • Divorce Orders and benefits payable
    • Quotations (withdrawals, Life and Living Annuity)
    • Benefit Statements
  • Preparation of reports on the finding of death benefit investigations
  • Assist during new member induction sessions and member presentation workshops where required
  • Contribute to overall team excellence
  • Engagement with members including pensioners
